Bed Bugs Featuring In TV – Some Interesting TV Programs

There are many TV channels looking forward to telecast something that the viewer has not seen before, it is because they are heavily dependent on the ratings they get with each program.
This is one of the prime reasons why some of the most bizarre subjects are also telecasted on TV nowadays. The stardom and the screen space have come down to a level where even a bed bug can be made a hero.
There are movies that are animated, and they even feature bed bugs. There was a movie called ‘ANTZ’ that featured bugs, ants, mites and other insects. The producers have recognized that the bed bugs also can be stars.
The reason for the viewers watching these shows is that these creatures are really annoying, and this makes the viewer keener to watch the show.
The bed bugs are known to transmit only skin irritation and not diseases. The bed bugs are very fast, they multiply at a very fast rate. This can be another reason for people to watch these shows, so that they can ridicule their sworn enemy.
This sure shows how desperate people are to avenge these pesky creatures.
Bed bugs – the notorious side
Bed bug is also a part of the gazillion insects that is seen around in this world. They are scientifically known as Cimex Lectularius. The experts have claimed that the bed bugs were controlled from breeding a couple of decades back due to the widespread use of DDT. These parasites were carried back to the United States from other countries by the immigrants.
These insects are wingless and are tiny in size. These are insects that feed themselves on the blood of any warm blooded creature, even your pet might be affected with this lifestyle of a bed bug. These are insects that are in the size of apple seeds, and they are reddish brown in color.
Any mammal that is present near the bed bug is a prey. All the areas infested with bed bugs are its domains, and they attack every possible mammal there.
The bed bugs are really small in size that you can hardly see them. The biggest of the lot will be at least a year old, and that will be one fourth of an inch. The bed bugs are mostly oval in shape, and they are flattened, and though they resemble apple seeds, they are a little smaller than apple seeds.
Boring TV stuff
The national geographic channel gives informative stuff about the bed bugs and it is not necessary that all TV shows relating to the bed bugs need to be animated. There are documentaries also. These programs give us a basic view of their habits, and they also show footages, and give us ideas to exterminate them.
Such TV shows are really educational, and they give you ideas as to how the bed bugs can be killed.
The problem is that, these television shows will never give them a proper rating. Even though many people sit down to watch them, they do not give the full heart to it. They move away once the main part is over.
These TV shows have another problem of sponsors and budget. After shooting for hours at various places, at their own expense, when they don’t get the desired output, they get discouraged, and this is one reason why these shows are not a common feature.
Tune to the channels that offer these programs and experience it yourself.
